My teacher – Radha Sundararajan

It is my great honour to introduce to you my Vedic chanting teacher – Radha Sundararajan. It is an absolute blessing to be able to continue my own studies under her loving and strict guidance.

Radha is a certified Yoga Therapist, Teacher Trainer & Vedic Chant Teacher Trainer, with more than 25 years of experience in Chanting and Yoga. She is a direct student of T K V Desikachar, son and student of the legendary yogacharya, Sri T Krishnamacharya. Radha has organized many Vedic Chant teacher training programs in India and in several other countries to impart the precision oriented techniques in Yoga and Vedic chanting. She specializes in teaching the philosophy of the Yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and meditative practices. She was the former head of Vedavani, the chanting department at KYM (Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram) and Director at SKY-Yoga.

She also heads a charitable organization dedicated towards the upliftment of women and the education of under privileged girls in Chennai. Adept at playing the Veena (an Indian musical instrument), she is also an ardent animal welfare activist.

Quite amazingly, she teaches yoga in French as she was also a Professor of French. Even in this short time that I have been training with her, she has become a guiding force and I count the hours before my next session with her (all on Skype and surprisingly effective!).
